They gave me an iPad at work, because they had me build a web app that targets it. They also asked me to be sure it doesn't get stolen at night, but we don't have keys to our desks or cabinets, so this means mine comes and goes with me. I put it in a pannier, and try not to crash.
I wrap a jacket or sweater around it for some cushioning, which has worked out since it doesn't get any shock except road buzz.
I assume you just mean transporting it, and not mounting it to the bars...?
