That's probably more sensible than having a frame builder look at it. Take the old one in for scrap value or make some kind of Alt bike with a little more redneck welding on the old one.
Yeah I know, but it was my wedding present from my ex, and it has memories. It's also a hard to find 22" level top tube . I don't like compact frames.
