I have several pair of bifocal safety glasses in clear, yellow and dark. They provide UV protection and the optical properties appear adequate. I have a Garmin 705 and use the backlight to enhance readability, but this would be the case with or without the need for magnification. I mostly use the clear lenses as ordinary safety glasses.
