I'm looking for firsthand experience / comments about B&Bs along the GAP Trail between Pittsburgh and Cumberland. I'm particularly interested in places to stay in Connellsville and Rockwood, PA. Meyersdale is my alternative to Rockwood. If I stick with Rockwood, I've got about 45 miles per day on average.
I've got the prices online, but I'm looking for info on what the facility was actually like, the hosts, food, bike storage, etc. How quiet is an issue, too, I guess.
I'm aiming for trip in July, so I've got hot weather - A/C would be nice!

Expect train noise in Rockwood. There's a nice B & B on the GAP itself, next to the bike shop. Two other alternatives are the Guest House at Husky Haven Campground, and the Hostel on Main. I've stayed at the Hostel on Main, and it's pretty upscale for a hostel. My friend Sayre Kulp stayed at the Guest House on his October 2010 tour, and thought it was great. Both are a lot less than the B & B.
I don't have any advice for Connellsville.
