I rode yesterday without a back pack, rear rack or even a small trailer. Carried on the bike; pump, patch kit, multi-tool and tire levers, cotton rag, empty water bottle. In a fanny pack, two phones, (one for data transmissions, one for voice), keys. Forgot to bring; wallet, bike lock, water.
I had enough room in my pockets for the phones and keys, but I needed the fanny pack to hold my cargo shorts closed. The shorts seem to have shrunk since the last time I rode and the snap wouldn't stay snapped!
I have been eating well during my convalescence.
