I have had to travel a lot to Texas... and generally I'm not a big fan of the state or its inhabitants, but Austin is not anything like the rest of the state and is a really fun city. It's one of the few places outside the west coast (and Italy) where I could visualize myself living. I'm sure I'll be heading back for more visits as my son now lives there.
