I've done Mountains of Misery twice also, but I actually found Mountain Mamas to be harder. MoM has two mega climbs but is otherwise standard valley rollers (some very steep of course.)
Mountain Mama has nine major climbs with no real rest (other than some really fun descents). As soon as you hit the bottom of one you're climbing up the next one.
That's actually an impressive time IMO. Of course not on the bike fourms where everyone does 10,000 feet centuries in 3 hours.
But I did a timed event, (Ride Around the Bear) 10,000 ft in 7:40 official elapsed time (7:10 ride time) and ranked # 123 out of 400 at 220 lbs.
Of course 7:40 doesn't sound great on a bike forum (
) but in reality, I was at the finish line waiting for the crowds to show.
So you time is impressive in reality.
