As an avid (not rabid) commuter I'm seeing this sort of thing more often and it really pisses me off! When I'm waiting politely at a stop light or sign and some A-hole blows past me through the red I get a little scared that the folks in cars are going to take out their frustration on ME. I've confronted a few of this D***heads and it's amazing the responses I hear...everything from worthless excuses to outright hostility that they got called out. GRRRR
When you see the idiots like that, let the motorists see you gesturing angrily at the offending rider; at the least, it'll confuse them, and they'll be thinking about what they just saw and be less focused on the cell phone. At best, they'll do the math and figure out that you are as offended by that as they are, and realize you know what you're doing.
