Finding a new LBS!!!!
Okay, yesterday's highlight. I wanted to drive to a different part of town to look for a LBS that I heard of but never visited. I had stayed away because I thought they only catered to older folks, looking for single speed bikes, etc. The LBS I had been trying to use was not working out for me. They were the type where they sized you up once in the door and if you were not interested in their over-priced inventroy then they ignored you.
So I enter this other place and I am amazed at the accessory selection. The guy comes over looking like a fresh off the boat german countryside import (shorts with suspenders, funny hat, socks with sandles), etc. I ask him about packs and racks (I plan to start commuting). a half hour later I ask him about clipless, then about used road bikes, then about hiking (he sells hiking gear, as well as kayaks, conoes, etc.)
I found my new favorite store. Some of his prices are a bit high, but he stocks everything I want and is Local!!! YAHOOOOO!
