I dressed my 2008 Comp with 4-seasons in 28 size and loving it. Rims will take 28 and 25 road tires, not so sure about 23. Wheels will take direct bazooka hit - I have 5500 mi on mine and never had to true them. For reference - 4 RR Xings on my 30mi rt commute and I classify as light Athena, so rims are plenty abused.
You chose better that you know.
