you've mentioned some of my favorite spots too! i live in ironwood now but used to live in the copper country and have been up and down brockway many times. i liked to go from dollar bay where we lived up the west side and get something to eat at the jam pot to fuel the trip back--about 70 miles. and we once did a soo to calumet, 3 or 4 day ride. i remember baking on the seney stretch--as close as we get to something like the plains.
i see that you are from alaska now. my daughter is an attorney with a firm called trustee for alaska in anchorage. she's a hard core climber, rider, runner. coming home in a couple of weeks to run grandma's marathon in duluth. are you near anchorage, involved in the outdoor scene?
