I've been wanting to post more commute pics, since that counts as a ride! LOL. I didn't take a lot of pictures of people's houses, cause that's just kind of creepy, but there's dozens of old Acadian and plantation style homes on my route. It's quite beautiful. This route is about 10 miles to work.

Sunrise over Cajun Country.

Sleepy country road.

BSNF Railway.

Old Antebellum plantation home with magnolia and oak trees.

Gravel road through some sugar cane fields. You can see a truck just passed from the dust cloud.

Nice neighborhood, through pines, majestic oaks, and cypress trees. This all used to be swamp 30 years ago.

Overlooking Bayou Lafourche through some cypress trees.

Thibodaux! My hometown.

Nicholls State University. Go Colonels!

Here's an old cemetary. Most of the cemetaries in this part of the state are above ground, the water table is just too high to bury people here. This is one of the oldest and largest, it's the size of an entire city block. Some of the tombs are hundreds of years old.
