Was there anything in the dropouts to protect them and the rear triangle from shipping damage? New bikes usually have the wheel in there, and a plastic spacer in the forks. If it shipped with nothing in there, then I agree with UPS and it's the packer's fault. (As if UPS has said anything yet) Good luck!
