Year round commuter here and I get more negative than positive comments

With negative comments I just brush them off unless they threaten me. When people throw something at me, threaten me, or endanger me I usually call the police, which has only been a few times.
The "get off the road," screaming, or blaring their horn no longer gets a reaction from me (thats if I can even understand what their saying).
For whatever reason no one wants to stop and tell me in person what it is that gets them agitated. I'm only 5'9 and 240 (built like a football player), what could lil ol me do
