As far as B17's go, I think you'll be fine. I have a couple of bikes about the same size and fit, with a Brooks saddles and about 1-2" drop to the bars. In my experience all you have to do is adjust the saddle angle to accomodate a particular saddle-to-bar drop. Angled slightly forward for more drop, slightly back for less, but the difference in angle is usually minimal.
