325 isn't going to get you much. get a beater off craigslist.com (100-200) and spend some money for any necessary parts. hopefully you know enough to be able to fix it up. if you can't fix your own bike....consider another line of work.
timbuk2 bags can be had used or on ebay pretty cheap ($20-50). i know everyone thinks they are cheap pieces of crap compared to other msnger bags (they are), but they are far superior to most backpacks of the same price.
