This month's Critical Mass Ride is going to be a 'Memorial Ride', visiting several sites in Southeast Portland where bicyclists have been killed by motorists in recent years. Friends and relatives of the slain cyclists will be present at each crash site to share their stories and memories of the victims.

-SE 37th & Taylor, site of the Memorial Lifehouse cob monument where Matt Schekel was killed by a delivery truck about four or five years ago.

- SE 40th & Belmont, where Orion Satushek and Angela Leazenby were killed by a drunk driver, and Caroline Buchalter was seriously injured, two years ago.

- SE Stark & 49th, where Noah Cardamon was killed by a drunk teenager last month.

Meet at 5:30PM, North Park blocks, by the elephant in front of Powell's technical bookstore, between NW Burnside and NW Couch, ride leaves at 6:00 PM. Bring your bike (of course!), and dress for the weather.

Please come out and help us make a statement that the Portland bicycling community will not tolerate abusive, dangerous or deadly motorist behavior. This is a going to be a respectful, family-friendly ride, so please leave your aggressions at home.
