I'm looking for some new toe clip pedals. Are MTB pedals typically bigger and are they spaced out further from the crank? The pedals will be going on a GT Nomad. I'm concerned about weight. I prefer the lack of "teeth" on the road pedal, but I think I'd prefer to be ~1/2" further from the crank if indeed MTBs are farther from the crank. In the pictures the Avenir appears to be further from the crank, but the pics aren't at the same angle. These are the pedals I'm looking at:
