people like the benefits and looks of a deep section carbon rim. Every big name carbon wheel co has a clincher model pretty much, EDGE composite, ENVE, Reynolds and a couple more. Gluing tires honestly kinda blows, I'm good at it but it's no doubt a major chore, plus the fumes from the glue are foul, I used tufo tubular tape on my most recent carbon tubular build and that cut my tire mounting time down by a lot. I ALWAYS glue my cyclocross toobies though, wouldn't count the tape there we run the pressure to low in CX that thing would roll right off after a couple turns I bet. sheesh sorry I hijacked this thread, you asked ... cinelli makes a nice bar.
