I'll have to go through this thread real slooooooow, cos it's gone a bit quick for me. Here's a couple of images of the rear mech. Or is that "rear mangled"? :-). Just to continue the thread, and show that the rear mech could do with replacing? (And the cable). My original confusion was perhaps to avoid getting the wrong mech (not sure of the hanger type), though comparing to my Raleigh, which has a hanger that hooks on the axle, it's looking a bit more obvious now that my GT does not have any kind of complicated hanger.
