Some pics from the North Cascades

I took my Cervelo camping on Diablo Lake this past weekend, and rode up toward Washington Pass. Unfortunately I had misplaced my water purifier, and summer is finally starting up here ... so I had to turn back when I ran out of drink. I made it about 35 to 40 miles total, with about 4,200 feet of climbing. My Garmin kept losing the satellites in a canyon section of the road, so that's more approximate than I'd like.

It probably means there's something wrong with me, but I enjoyed the ride up more than back down. There were pot holes and sand in parts of the shoulder, and this being my first time on a bike here, I didn't feel comfortable beyond about 35 mph in the shoulder. I guess I tensed up a bit trying to keep my weight further back than normal in case I had to stop quickly, and wound up with sore shoulders.
