Yeah, I first stumbled on this thread a few years ago when I found my 974. Mine is pretty well used, needs paint, and all the original drive train was beat. I worry about the aluminium frame while I am getting ready to ride it, but genneraly stop worrying or forget worrying on the road cause its a fun bike to ride. its the only bike I can keep up with the new stuff on. Super stiff, and climbs and takes off like a rocket.
