Want to lose a lot of weight? Say a vegetarian. Give up dairy too. Eat only whole foods (I define as at least 4 grams of fiber per serving) IN other words, give up the processed foods. Weight will drop off.
You aren't biking enough yet to worry about getting enough protein.
