Very much appreciate the information on DL-1's in the archives. These bikes do have their quirks.
That is one delectable bike. I definitely understand what you're saying about the little shakedown runs turning into full-blown rides.

I am intrigued by rod brake bicycles and only recently realized that they were made into the 80s and, I guess, even later. Maybe once I get my current collection of bikes under control, perhaps I'll track one down to supplement my collection and to play with.
