See, I'm rocking the 20t. It was perfect for me. Hills are easier, though by no means easy, and that third gear is my absolute gear of choice for long rides. I love that thing. It's like I'm flying. That's how I get 17mph on a Sports
. I wouldn't want to lose it.
I can see why a 22 or 24 would be wonderful for hills. This is why the new bike I'm building up slowly will have more speeds. Then I can have the best of both worlds: a lower gear for hills, and that higher gear for flats. I've become quite a serious hill climber, though, with that 20t. I should go out for an alpine stage...
