I don't mind what people have on their bikes - I quite enjoyed the pleasing thrum of the bubba-hubba on the Brompton. My only annoyance was that it weighed more than Jupiter, and contained three of the wrong gears.

In Olden Tymes in England, the SA hubs were called 'Tin Cans' - and timed sprints using them, were undertaken. They were seen as The Marvel of The Age in 1902, and were hugely popular. Still are, of course. If I build another MTB, I might aim for Shimano 7 (?) speed hub. Scraping horse poo out of the cog-swapper is no fun.

The IGH, I wonder, still needs a dork disc in case the chain jumps off.
