Very sad for the mother and family, who were devastated. He was not wearing a helmet, not that would have helped. I was once hit by a car, the helmet is important. My son is very upset, they were not only neighbours but also went to school together. Jeremy Perez was a wonderful kid from what I was told by the kids. I talked to him once. Its horrifying and I cannot imagine what the family have gone through.
