At that price point there are plenty of options.

I would look at a carbon fiber frame with 105 components. Also consider the CAAD line of aluminum frames.

Go to your local bike shop(s) and see what they have.

ps that Trek has a triple. You will likely do better with a compact double. But it really depends on the type of riding you do, and the LBS should be able to help you out with that.

pps make sure you have $150 put aside for road pedals and shoes
