My touring rig, in the fortified old town in Medias, Transylvania, Romania. Big 26 x 2.5 and 2.2 tires, 8in suspension front and back, under 20 lbs of stuff for a week long tour. Even though it's a little slow uphill, it flies, or should I say glides, on even the slightest downhill stretches, including some of the most broken roads imaginable, where my fully rigid tour mate and the hardtail one had to slow down to a crawl. I used to be quite focused on reliability, but this bike makes riding long distances so safe and confortable that I can't imagine giving up on the suspension or the geometry, derived initially from a diy xtracycle mod. I just can't express how satisfied I am with the bike, both on and off tour, since it's my only bike at the moment.
