My thoughts exactly, there's a world (63mm dia.) of difference between a 26" mtb wheel at 559 and 700c wheel at 622. If the tire comes anywhere close to fitting, both wheels are the same, though tire tightness varies tire to tire, and rim fits for the same size also vary because of differences in the depth of the center well.
