I briefly used a wireless Sigma, but found out it eats batteries for breakfast in winter conditions. Particularly the transmitter part down at fork blade. My bike spends quite a bit of time outside during winter, so it just didn't work for me. I went back to wired, and when that comp died, took the GPS plunge. With GPS units, you can keep the powered parts warm(er) during the ride, and bring them in with you when you're not riding.
