A bit OT perhaps, but generally speaking if a manufacter or vendor doesn't respond to email, I forget about them.
In fact I use this as a test before buying anything from a web site for the first time; I send a question by email and if I get no reply in a day or too, I find someone else.
Can understand that for a very small manufacture, or those who sell direct, but for a large manufacture, they sell to distributors, who sell to shops, and it's the shops who deal with the customer, who should be answering the questions. Have you have mailed Shimano direct?
