I have occasionally been in a group on a rough fast downhill and the racket coming off some bikes was pretty scary...nothing apparently was amiss. I don't know if it a tubing resonance or what. Some Carbon fiber forks sound like a sword fight with PVC pipe on rough roads (my reynolds and lightspeed are quiet, however). I believe that if you had done damage, you would feel funky handling. hope so anyway!
