I've ridden on contis since the GP-3000 series. After numerous flats, I finally said, WTF? and bailed on conti bike tires in 2010. And I've had conti tires on my last two german cars. They're all overpriced, shoddy crap.
The riders I know who constantly rave about conti tires are the ones who have never ridden anything else, or they went from crappy steel-bead LBS "special" tires to contis and thought that was all they proof they needed that contis are the most awesomest tires in the world, and were willing to pay the ridiculously inappropriate premium for conti tires.
