The MEC house brand tapes don't have adhesive backing and it is extremely comfortable. I've used Cinelli, Easton and Profile (with adhesive) cork tapes before and they're all made of this hard, slightly uncomfortable cork blend that I don't like. However, this tape, with tiny bits of corks in there, is really really comfortable, extremely easy to apply and it's very comfortable on the hand when it is wrapped. However, MEC is in Canada and not sure what the deal is with US shipping and such.

I've been using Fizik Microtex and I really love how it feels, not sure if I want to go back to cork. My friend's got some Bontrager tape with no backing that feels relatively squish on the hand.
