Best tyre for glazed ice and 25mile rides

After crashing a lot last two winters, this year I'm going to get some studded tyres.

The most common tyre available here is the Schwalbe Marathon Winter.

The conditions in winter are snow packed to glazed ice by cars, with black ice when it rains during the day (and freezes overnight). It is very very rare we get loose snow on the roads.

From what I've read, I need a tyre with low nubs and studs. The Marathon Winter looks suitable; what about the Nokian alternatives? Oh, and it needs to fit a 26"/559 wheel (so I can't use the Nokian A10).

What are people's opinions of the best tyres for the conditions? I ride a 50mile round-trip commute, so diy knobblies with steel screws probably wouldn't last.
