I have an after-market Schlumpf Speed Drive fitted to my Strida and logged quite some miles on it. While I don't have experience using geared BB and kick-shift hub on the same bike, I can't imagine it being an easy setup to shift quickly and smoothly. But it can just my lack of imagination.
