We got our first taste yesterday and it looks like it'll be around for tomorrow's commute, so I checked out the hybrid today. It hadn't seen daylight since last March. Other than the chain, both sets of brakes, and front derailleur being frozen, it wasn't in bad shape. :-) The chain and brakes were solvable, but the front derailleur is beyond hope after almost 17k winter miles. A 23 mile ride confirmed it's ready to go for tomorrow. The studded tires "did their thing," although it's certainly not like riding in July. I did freak out a neighbor walking his dog when I bombed down the sheer ice hill just before our cul de sac. I had to stop for him to admire the tires. :-)
