I'm not sure where you came up with $800, but I paid no where near that price for the pair. If I really wanted the "Rolls Royce" of lights, I would have bought Lupine's. In the end value is always up to the end user and how they use their equipment. For some people, an X-Mart bike is value, and to another , a full carbon frame is the only way to go. So, some people have nice full carbon bikes, and I have nice lights.
