You mean there are two sets of brakes, like a cross bike....correct? This gives you the option of riding in a more upright, cruising position, or in the aero hands on the drops flying down the hill racer style and be able to hit either of the brake levers. I wish more road bikes would go with this dual brake option. I think for real world cyclists this is a great thing, we aren't all weight weenies wanting to get as light as possible. Some of us would like a bit more safety.
