I'm planning on completing a couple of long rides during the year although not sure exactly what they'll be just yet. One will be a coast-to-coast across the UK all being well, which will test my legs on the hills in a way they've never been tested before.
I want to drop another couple of inches from my waistline, last October I bought myself the first pairs of jeans with waists beginning in 3 that I've had in more years than I care to admit, and want to go down another size or two. Dropping another 30 pounds would be nice too.
I'm keeping my recurring theme (achieved in 2011) to complete the equivalent of the Tour de France over the course of the year.
I'd like to complete another century (did my first ever 100-miler last year, two days after the second of two consecutive 100+ km riders). Not sure when/how to fit that in, short of just doing laps of a circuit for the sake of it.
I'd also like to ride in some new areas. Using the bike for more long-distance stuff seems like a good way to do it, visiting friends and family who live 50-80 miles away. I'll let my wife visit at the same time in the car, so I've got an easy option to get back home if I need it...
