Is this a good place to state the obvious and often repeated?

Obvious:
  • Brooks saddles are attractive
  • Brooks saddles don't suit everyone
1 CM is a big change in saddle position

Any how, I fitted a new tube and tyre to my 1990 Steel ol'favourite last night. While it was inverted for this, I loosened and kicked - no, adjusted - the new/old Brooks Swift about a cm closer to the bars.

This morning, a metric century, just inside 4 hours, nice and cool, sometimes a wonderful tail wind and sometimes a tough headwind, giving a flat ride some of the characteristics of a rolling ride.

And the careful (kicking-no) adjustment of the saddle placed the bones where they are supposed to be, on the broad bit of the saddle. All of a sudden, I'm a Brooks Happy Fellow.
