Ah yes, now the previously un stated drivetrain detail comes out..
You want Index/SIS shifting too..
With an IGH, or friction shifting that is less of an issue.
a hybrid drive train is mechanically there too SRAM dual drive,
or like an Alfine 8 speed and 2 chainrings, to use the IGH in 2 ranges.
And a chain tensioner to take up the slack..
I like Rohloff hubs, all the shifting is in the hub itself,
2 cables, pull-pull, gripshifter, no springs.
others 1 cable and a return spring , detents in the lever.
