I had a Japanese-made Sekine, probably a 1972, that had a chromoly frame and chromed forks. I liked it a lot, but it was too small for me and I sold it. My son's best friend competed in a triathlon with it and won his age group (teenager) with it.



Notice the spoke protector has "SEKINE" cut out:
