I have the same impression about Ulrich. Ulrich always seems to be quite upbeat despite the setbacks. He also regularly puts on some weight in the offseason which is quite normal for a well balanced person considering the highly trained state of pro riders. Lance on the other hand, is proud to tell people that he weights his food before every meal and gets his doses of adrenaline by going to weekend cyclocross races to beat up amateurs. Lance is certainly a hundred times more professional than Ulrich, but I don't think more balanced.
