Any weight loss is a good loss when you're really trying.
If you're plateauing you might actually be doing too much exercise for the amount of food your body is getting.
Through my weight loss season last summer I was pretty much only doing sprints (about 15km). Any time I did more than that my weight would plateau for a few days which would slow down my weight loss.
