Anywhere from 1-2.5 hours. My DVDs are great for when I'm motivated and my TV or PS3 is great for when I'm not. If I do a long haul watching a movie or something, I make sure to periodically do some high rpm sprints to get my HR up and simulate a split decision to punch it on the road like I would in a club ride. For me this is a nice way to keep my fitness level up and work on my spinning muscle memory during the winter so that my first 'real' spring rides don't hurt so much, if at all.
The key is to find what will occupy your mind on the bike. Some days it's the desire to punch out a trainer DVD and just kill it (me) others it's chill out and watch that new movie I've been meaning to see and get a little training in rather than sit on my lazy a$$.
