Arrive early for the best seats. Bring an empty water bottle to fill up once past the guards. Take something to read for several hours. Take extra precautions to not pick up the germs of the other jurors.

In Indio, the court had two jury waiting rooms separated by a corridor. Most jurors, never caught on to this and packed themselves into chairs into the first room. The second room had cubicles and tables, few people and the view was better. So explore your surroundings when you arrive.
I'll keep this in mind if I ever get called in. I've moved from state to state so much that in all honesty, I'd never know if I did get called up for it.
