Another example of the perpetual truth of the Peter Principle; I've managed to defeat it by rejecting 'upward mobility' with my employer. I personally can't stand not being productive on the job, so I stay where I know I'm 'overqualified'. (Wouldn't be enough extra pay to make up for the stress, either,....)
