Delicate?? Those VO cranks look so beefy that it seems like they can be used in a tank's transmission. If you want to see what delicate looks like with a 1 piece Aluminum fluted style crank, check out Stonglight's model 106 at Velobase....Or Campagnolo's Super Record crank....
Intrestingly, the Campy SR cranks were found to have cracking problems, but not because they were too delicate, but because they did not round off some critical corners where the crank arm and spider arms met, resulting in stress risers where cracking occured for some owners. I don't think the Stronglight 106 had the same problem though....
